Moving a hive

    Hi all,

    I need to move my hives about 15 feet away from where they currently sit.  I'm concerned about the forager bees locating their hive.  Does anyone have any suggestions about time of day to move?  I can pick up the entire setup with a dolly or forearm forklifts so I can keep the brood boxes & supers intact.  Thanks!

    Sorry this reply is so late.  Hives can be moved three feet at a time. Wait a few days then move again. Anything more than three feet runs the risk of loosing worker bees.

    If you already moved the hive the 15 feet, how did it work out?
